How to Migrate OS to SSD/HD

Step 1. Launch MiniTool Partition Wizard to get its main interface.

Option A. To Replace the System Disk

Firstly, please select the target disk to migrate system disk to and click Next.

Then, choose a copy option. Alternatively, users can manually edit partition size by inputting exact partition size in MB, GB, or TB.

Tricks:

• Align partitions to 1MB could help improve performance for SSD and advanced format disks, so please keep it checked if users are using such devices.
• Checking Use GUID Partition Table for the target disk makes it possible to use all space of hard disk larger than 2TB, but UEFI boot should be enabled in BIOS.

• If users want to migrate Windows which is installed on a GPT disk, they will not see the option Use GUID Partition Table for the target disk.

Next, read a popup note and click Finish to continue.

Option B. To Migrate Windows Only

Here, users also need to select the target disk to transfer Windows 10 to and click Next.

Then, select a copy option and click Next.

Part 2 — Create a MiniTool Bootable CD/DVD

Note: MiniTool Bootable Media Builder will format the CD/DVD discs while building MiniTool Boot CD/DVD Disc. Please make sure that the disc can be formatted.

Step 1. Prepare a recordable CD/DVD disc and insert it into your CD/DVD burner.

Step 2. Launch «Bootable Media Builder» from MiniTool software to the main interface.

Step 3. Select «WinPE-based media with MiniTool plug-in» to continue

Основная причина невозможности установки Windows 10 с указанным сообщением о том, что не удается создать новый раздел — уже имеющаяся структура разделов на жестком диске или SSD, мешающая созданию необходимых системных разделов с загрузчиком и средой восстановления.

Если из описанного не до конца ясно, что именно происходит, пробую пояснить иначе

1. Ошибка возникает в том случае, когда на HDD или SSD существует только разделы, созданные вами вручную, в diskpart (или с помощью сторонних программ, например, средств Acronis), при этом они занимают всё пространство диска (например, один раздел на весь диск, если он ранее использовался для хранения данных, был вторым диском на компьютере или только что куплен и отформатирован). При этом, проблема проявляет себя при загрузке в EFI режиме и установке на GPT диск.
2. В данной ситуации программе установки Windows 10 «негде» создать системные разделы (которые можно увидеть на следующем скриншоте), а ранее созданные системные разделы также отсутствуют (так как диск не был ранее системным или, если был, был переформатирован без учета необходимости места под системные разделы) — именно так трактуется «Нам не удалось создать новый или найти существующий раздел».

Уже это объяснение может быть достаточно для более опытного пользователя, чтобы понять суть проблемы и исправить её. А для начинающих пользователей несколько решений описаны далее.

Помощь отключения Secure Boot

Внимание: приведенные далее решения предполагают, что вы устанавливаете одну единственную ОС (а не, например, Windows 10 после установки Linux), и, кроме этого, диск, на который производится установка обозначен как Диск 0 (если это не так, когда у вас несколько дисков на ПК, измените порядок жестких дисков и SSD в БИОС/UEFIтаким образом, чтобы целевой диск оказался на первом месте, либо просто переключите SATA-кабели)

Step 1: Insert the CD or DVD disc to computer and run ULtraISO. Here, users had better insert a blank CD/DVD disc, because the original data could be overwritten.

Step 2: From the menu bar, select «Burn CD/DVD Image». In the new window, select the CD/DVD disk and the MiniTool ISO file. Finally, click «Burn».

Otherwise, the basic disk will be converted into a dynamic disk.

In addition, some conversion functions can cause data loss, for example, conversion between MBR disk and GPT disk and converting dynamic disk to basic disk request you to delete all partitions in the target disk. All these limitations may cause inconvenience to you at any time.
